Carbon Kevlar Sprockets are popular in Europe but have been slow on the uptake in Australia - possibly because karters are comfortable with the widely used Aluminium sprockets. People that have used the Extron Pro sprockets won't go back however. These high tech sprockets have less friction particularly at high revs. At a recent test day, our Rotax revved to 13,700 with a standard sprocket and 13,900 with the Pro. Over the last 12 months, we found that these sprockets had twice the life of a standard sprocket. Chains also lasted much longer. The first that you will notice, is how quiet they are.
Mor revs, less noise, longer life, more power - it's got my highest vote!
